BET DWARKA
Old temple of krishna
Bet Dwarka is considered a part of the ancient city of Dv?rak? in Indian epic literature, the abode of Krishna, found in the Mahabharata and Skanda Purana. Gujarati scholar Umashankar Joshi suggested that Antardvipa in Sabha Parva of Mahabharata can be identified as Bet Dwarka, as the Yadava of Dwarka are said to have travelled to it by boats. It derives its name Shankhodhar from the fact that the island is a large source of conch shells (Shankh). Archaeological remains found under the sea suggest the existence of a settlement during Late Harappan period of Indus Valley Civilization, or immediately after it. It can be reliably dated to the time of the Maurya Empire. It was a part of Okha Mandal or Kushdwip area. Dwarka is mentioned in a copper inscription of Simhaditya, the minister of Vallabhi under Maitraka, dated 574 AD. He was the son of Varahdas, the king of Dwarka

SHYAMLAJI
Shyamlaji Temple
The present temple dedicated to Shamlaji, a form of Vishnu or a name of Krishna, was perhaps started in the 11th century in Chaulukya style. but the present structure dates from the 15th-16th centuries. The sculpture of Vishnu in the sanctuary is probably 7th-8th century, and the small temple opposite houses a 6th-century sculpture of Shiva. The oldest intact temple is the small 9th-century Harishchandrani Chauri Temple, with a gateway nearby. Several ruins of temples, scattered idols and old brick-works surrounding the place establishes antiquity of the place.
EKLINGJI
Old temple of krishna
According to the 15th century text Ekalinga Mahatmya, the original temple at Eklingji was constructed by the 8th century ruler Bappa Rawal. The original temple and Vigraha (idol) were destroyed during invasions by the Delhi Sultanate rulers. The earliest extant idol was installed by Hamir Singh (14th century), who also carried out extensive renovations to the main temple. Rana Kumbha (15th century) rebuilt the temple, in addition to constructing a Vishnu temple. His 1460 inscription describes him as "the personal servant of Ekling". In the late 15th century, Ghiyath Shah of Malwa Sultanate attacked Mewar, and devastated Eklingji. Kumbha's son Rana Raimal (r. 1473–1509) defeated and captured him, and obtained a ransom for his release. With this ransom, Raimal patronized the last major rebuilding of the temple complex, and installed the present murti at the main temple. Originally, the temple likely belonged to the Pashupata sect, and was subsequently in the custody of the Nath sect. In the 16th century, it came under the control of the Ramanandis.
