On the first day we would be driving to Silvassa from Mumbai After arrival at Silvassa we will check in the hotel and take some rest. If we get time we would visit Dudhni Lake enroute. There we can also do boating. Silvassa is considerably an industrial town, of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and a renowned natural habitat to the wildlife.

Today after the morning meal we will be leaving for sightseeing in and around the area. In the sightseeing we could start up by Vasona Lion Safari which is a Bus Safari in an open zoo where Lions enjoy in the open. Then we would go to Madhuban Dam it is a Lake and a view point, Deer Park where we would find Spotted Deer’s, and Tribal Museum, where tribal things are showcased.

DUDHANI LAKE

Located 40 km from Silvassa, it is a huge lake built on Madhuban Dam’s reservoir. The sparkling water with the surrounding hillocks makes it a popular one-day picnic spot. The colourful shikaras at this lake will remind you of Kashmir. You can enjoy an enchanting sunset while boating. It is recommended to stay back for a night at a nearby tourist complex to witness the amazing sight of sunrise.

Madhuban Dam is located approximately 40 km on the downstream of the river Damini Ganga. It was built jointly by the Government of Gujarat and the Union Territories of Dadra and Nagar Haveli. The construction of the dam has resulted in the formation of a number of water bodies near Dudhani, approximately 40 km from Silvassa. The area is an ideal spot for the lovers of water sports and general tourists. They can enjoy rides in speed boats, water scooters, aqua bikes, canoes, kayaks, passenger boats and bumper boats which are easily available on hire from the tourist department of the state government at the Water Sports Complex at Dudhni and Kaucha. The area also offers spectacular views of the surrounding forests. The tourists can stay in the luxurious tents set up near the site of the dam and also avail the facilities of cooking in the camping kitchens. They can also participate in the rustic style meals in the open air after enjoying the water sports. There are several other picnic spots close by the dam.

Vasona Lion Safari Park is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts. The best way to explore the park is to take a safari in a bus or van fitted with mesh screen and spot the majestic lions in their natural habitat. There are more than three lions in the safari park, which is sprawled over an area of 20 acre and bound by a 3-m-high wall. You can also spot pythons and other wild species of reptiles during the safari. The park is a part of Dadra and Nagar Haveli Wildlife Sanctuary and also shares neighbourhood with the Satmalia Deer Park. Built with an aim to preserve Asiatic lions, the Lion Safari Park remains open from 9 am to 5 pm and lies at a distance of 10 km from Silvassa.
SATMALIYA DEAR PARK

Located on the Khanvel Silvassa road, Satmaliya Deer Park is home to Chinkara, Blackbucks and spotted deer. The park is situated close to the Vasona Lion Safari and is a very popular picnic spot. Apart from different types of deer, the park has birds like Peacock, Flameback Woodpecker, Thrushes and many more. There is a watch tower inside the park from where you can enjoy a sweeping view of the park and the Mahuban dam.
