Today early morning after breakfast drive to Barkot. Visit Kempty Fall (Subject to Timing schedule and route) to then take lunch En-route. Check-in at your Hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax and store your energy for the Pahad (hill) Yatra of Yamunotri the next day. Overnight stay at Barkot.

Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot (50 km drive & 6 km one way trek)

Early morning, Drive to Jankichatti / Phoolchatti, trek start from here to Yamunotri (6 kms). Either by walk or by horse or by dolly at own cost. Arrival at Yamunotri, One can cook rice by packing it in a cloth and dipping it in the hot water of the hot Kund. Pilgrims take this cooked rice home as “Prasad”. Here near the temple “Pooja” can be offered to Divya Shila, after taking bath in Jamunabai Kund’s warm water and having “Darshan” of pious “Yamunaji” returning to Jankichatti. Return back to Barkot, Overnight stay.

Gangotri Temple

Gangotri
Gangotri Temple the origin of the River Ganges, is one of the four sites in the Himalayan Char Dham pilgrimage circuit. The original Gangotri Temple was built by the Nepalese general Amar Singh Thapa. The river is called Bhagirathi at the source and acquires the name Ganga (the Ganges) from Devprayag onwards where it meets the Alaknanda. The temple is closed from Diwali day every year and is reopened on Akshaya Tritiya.

Kedarnath Temple is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, the holiest shrines of Shiva. It is one of the 275 Paadal Petra Sthalams, expounded in Tevaram. Pandavas were pleased God Shiva by doing Pooja in Kedarnath. Adi Shankara was believed to have revived this temple, along with Badrinath and other temples of Uttarakhand; he is believed to have attained Mahasamadhi at Kedarnath. Behind the temple is the Samadhi Mandir of Adi Sankara.

Badrinath Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple and town form one of the four Char Dham and Himalayan Char Dham pilgrimage sites. The temple is also one of the 108 Divya Desams dedicated to Vishnu, who is worshipped as Badrinath—holy shrines for Vaishnavite. It is open for six months every year (between the end of April and the beginning of November), because of extreme weather conditions in the Himalayan region.

Har Ki Pauri

Har Ki Pauri is a famous ghat on the banks of the Ganges. Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu are believed to have visited the Brahmakund in Har Ki Pauri in the Vedic times. Each evening at sunset priests perform Ganga Aarti At Har Ki Pauri was started by Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya, when lights are set on the water to drift downstream. A large number of people gather on both the banks of river Ganges to sing its praises. People float earthen Diyas, with burning flickers and flowers in them as a symbol of hope and wishes.

Yamunotri Temple

Yamunotri Temple is situated in the western region of Garhwal Himalayas at an altitude of 3,291 metres. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna and has a black marble idol of the goddess. Unique aspects of ritual practice at the site include hot springs where raw rice is cooked and made into Prasad. The temple opens on Akshaya Tritiya and closes on Yama Dwitiya (the second day after Diwali, November) for the winter.

Mana is a village located at an altitude of 3,200 meters. Mana is the last village before the Mana Pass and is 26 kilometres from the border of India and Tibet. Mana Village have sightseeing places like Vyas Cave, Ganesh Cave, Bhim Pool and Origin of River Saraswati.
