Latest Updates Regarding The Chardham Yatra 2022
Update 1
With the Covid-19 restrictions slowly being lifted, the pilgrims can now get ready for the Char Dham Yatra without much hassle as it does not require to now any need to show any RT-PCR Negative Covid 19 report. But it is mandatory to register in the portal operated by the tourism department for Char Dham Yatra. Pilgrims who would be coming from state borders are also not required to show an RT-PCR Negative report but it is important and rather mandatory to get yourself registered on the official portal of Char Dham Yatra.
Update 2
It has been seen that more than 1 lakh pilgrims have already registered for Char Dham Yatra. Both offline and online mode registrations are going for this year. And it can be estimated that the footfall of pilgrims will only increase as they would experience a once in a lifetime divine journey, with Pilgrims only getting divine blessings from the divine powers.

The state has fixed a daily number of people on the number of pilgrims for Char Dham Shrines this year so that they can control the crowd. A total of 38,000 pilgrims are allowed to visit Char Dham Shrines each day. 15,000 in Badrinath, 12,000 in Kedarnath, 7000 in Gangotri and 4000 in Yamunotri in a day respectively.
The dates of the portals of Char Dham shrines are approaching and preparations are in full force to make the journey hassle-free for the pilgrimage. One of the most important new updates to remember is that Photometric registration is mandatory. This year the authorities have started to prepare for the journey early so that there are no mistakes regarding the protocols.
Various arrangements are also made for correct photometric registration for pilgrims and it can be done through both online and offline modes. The Photometric registration will allow and help the authorities to identify the people in case of any emergency. Photometric registration will make the record-keeping details easy for the pilgrims. All departments have started to prepare for the pilgrimage early so that it can be a smooth and worth remembering journey for everyone. According to Garhwal commissioner, Sushil Kumar everything like the road clearance, water tank management, cleanliness and other mandatory details will be ready by 31st March. All other preparations will be inspected by the first week of April.
