Wake up to breakfast this morning and make your way to the bus depot from where we recommend you take the Swarovski shuttle bus to Wattens to the famous green giant - the Swarovski Crystal World. Enter the fascinating crystal world and spend half the day here exploring the area. We also recommend you to experience breathtaking views when you take Nordkette funicular (Nordkettenbahnen) up to Seegrube station. You can spend time at Alpenlounge - chill out zone and restaurant. (Till 6th October) October to December we recommend you to experience and enjoy a wonderful view of the landscape on this cable car journey as you are taken from Innsbruck to Seegrube and back. Take the convenient cable car from Innsbruck to Seegrube. The journey starts 560 m above sea level directly near the old town of Innsbruck. The cable car with its extraordinary stations sets international benchmarks in modern architecture. With increasing height your thoughts of the busy city life will be removed by the silence and beauty of the nature. In the period between end of December until beginning of April you will have the opportunity to visit the Igloo ice bar called CLOUD9 when you reach Station Seegrube - without extra costs! as the entrance to the bar is included in your cable car ticket. Later in the evening we recommend you enjoy a typical 3 course Tyrolean Dinner in a typical restaurant that dot the city else you could visit the casino and try your luck there else enjoy a typical Tyrolean evening filled with authentic music and dance of the area. Overnight in Innsbruck.
Following breakfast this morning we recommend you make a full day trip to the famous Riedel Glass factory. For this you need to take the train to Kufstein where the factory is located. Here you can see how the glasses are made and also have the opportunity of buying the same! The other option you have for today is to take the train to Rattenberg and visit Austria's smallest town, also called the 'glass town'. Overnight in Innsbruck.
Further to breakfast this morning, its time to head to the train station and board the train taking you to Vienna. Upon arrival make your way to the hotel and check in. Relax and enjoy the evening in Vienna walking around the Mariahilferstrasse with its vibrant shops or spend time at any of the Viennese cafes sipping the famous coffee and treat yourself to the typical Sacher tortes. Post breakfast this morning its time to take a tour of the main sights within the city centre and visit the magnificently decorated rooms of Schonbrunn Palace. This city tour will introduce you to the the most important sights of the Austrian capital. As we drive around the famous 'Ringstrasse', Vienna's main boulevard, we pass by the State Opera, the Museums of Fine Art and Natural History, the Parliament building, the Burgtheater (National Theatre), the City Hall and the University. The highlight of this programme is the visit to Schonbrunn Palace where we take a tour of some of the most magnificently decorated rooms. We return to the city centre, passing by Belvedere Palace, where you will have the opportunity to end your tour, or you can choose to continue to the State Opera House, where the tour ends. Wake up to breakfast this morning and spend the day experiencing the Viennese Woods where you are taken to the southern part of Vienna Woods, passing by the roman city of Baden, before we reaching Mayerling, where we visit the convent. The former hunting-lodge of Crownprince Rudolph. We continue with a visit to the Abbey of Heiligenkreuz where we will see the tomb of the Babengerd Family. Finally we will visit the 'Seegrotte', or 'Seagrotto' for a boat ride on Europe's largest subterranean lake before returning to Vienna where the tour will end at the Opera House
Later in the evening you could also enjoy a relaxing cruise on the Danube. A perfect way to unwind and end your holiday. Else you could spend the day in Salzburg enjoying the various tours the city has to offer, the Sound of Music tour being the most popular. Overnight in Vienna.
